I Am A Lion

A Poem

I am a lion,
I see you watching,
You're in my range,
What do you want from me?
The odour of conflict,
My spirit is rising,
My soul, my pride,
The poisoned shard is in my side.
I fall, you conquer..
Is this my worth?
No. For I am king,
I am a lion.

By Helen Ratcliff

This is dedicated to all the beautiful big cats who are severely under threat and endangered, because of trophy hunting, canned hunting, poaching and human encroachment.

15th March 2014 - # Global March for Lions...
